The Lady Lions Basketball Team won 5 games in a row!  They beat Tucker, New Manchester, Cambridge, Lassiter, and Drew.  The Lady Lions are being lead on the offensive end by Sr. Ashlynn Green 18 ppg and Jr. Alaija Coates 10ppg.  This bring the Lady Lions to a 6-2 start for the season!

Signing Day!

Congrats to Ashlynn Green for signing with Division 1 Arkansas Pinebluff-University!  Ashlynn is has been an All-Region and All-County performer since her Sophomore year and will score 1000 points during her senior season!

Back to Back State Playoffs!

The Girls Basketball team beat MT. Zion 44-27 in the first round of the Region Tournament.  This victory sends them to the State Playoffs for the second year in a row.  So. Alaija Coates came off the bench to score 14 points in the first half.  So. Victoria Nwanze had 8 points to go with

Senior Night Victory!

The girls basketball team beat Mundys Mill on Senior Night.  Seniors Terrion Coates and Daziya Hairston truly played like it was their last home game.  Terrion had 14 points and Daziya had 13 points 4 rebounds and 4 assist.  Jr. Ashlynn Green scored 20 points of her own.

4 Wins in a Row

The Lady Lions Basketball team won their 4th game in a row by beating Kell 54-50.  Sr. Terrion Coates had 10 points.  So. Victoria Nwanze had 8 points 6 rebounds and 4 blocks.  Keke Dash and Ashlyn Green had 8 points as well.

Lady Lions 61 Mt. Zion 59

The Girls Varsity basketball team beat Mt. Zion 61-59 on Friday Night.  The Lady Lions were lead by Jr. Ashlynn Green who scored 15 points and added 6 rebounds and 6 assist.  Sr. Terrion Coates added 14 points and Jr. Alaija Coates scored 13.  This win placed the Lady Lions at 4th in the region.

Boys & Girls Beat Drew

Friday night both our boys and girls basketball teams beat Drew High School.  The girls were lead by captain Ashlynn Green who had 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assist and 2 blocks.  So. Alaija Coates scored 17 points by hitting five 3’s.  The lady Lions won 51-40.  The girls are now 3-2 in

Positive Athlete Award

Signing Day!

Our very own Azhana Maxwell has signed a basketball scholarship with Savannah State!  She is All-State, All-Region, and Co-Region player of the year.  Now she is college bound.  We look forward to seeing her doing great things on the next level!

Basketball Awards

It’s awards season.  Our very own Sr. Azhana Maxwell was voted Co-Region player of the year, first team All-Region, and made the 6A All-State Second team.  Azhanna scored over 2,000 points in her career and averaged 23 this season.  We also had So. Ashlyn Green make All-Region Honorable Mention.  Ashlyn averaged 11 points 5 rebounds
