The Girls Soccer team beat Redan 1-0. Junior Goalie Katelyn Hardaway had 12 saves and a shutout. Freshman Jasmine Mathis put in the game winning goal on a Penalty Kick in the 2nd half. The game was won on the defensive end, with great effort by Kiara Crawford, Synebia Martin, Dericka Richardson, and Zaria Humphrey.

The Lady Lions Basketball team got their fist win of the season, beating Mcnair High School, in the Dekalb County Christmas Tournament. Jr. Tamia Johnson scored 20 points, So. Asia Phillips had 10 and Jr. Germirah Shavers chipped in with 9 of her own.
Soccer Player Chantel Collins is 2nd in Command in M.L. King Jr. High School’s JROTC Program. She plans to attend college next Fall on a full ROTC scholarship en route to one day becoming an officer in the United States Military. Salute Soldier!!!!
